The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has responded to the scandalous statement by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico about a "territorial compromise" with Russia. They emphasized that this is out of the question as there can be no compromise on this issue.

This was announced by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleh Nikolenko. "There can be no compromise on territorial integrity. Neither for Ukraine, nor for Slovakia, nor for any other country," he said.

Nikolenko added that Ukraine and its partners are making significant efforts to liberate the Ukrainian occupied territories, including to avoid Russian invasion of other countries.

"Let's be frank: without security in Ukraine, there will be no security either in Slovakia or in Europe as a whole. We must work together to bring the Ukrainian victory closer," he emphasized.

The day before, Fico said that Ukraine is "not a sovereign state." According to the Slovak politician, it is allegedly completely under the control of the United States.

The day before, it became known that on Wednesday, January 24, the Slovak prime minister would arrive in Uzhhorod to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Denys Shmyhal. The politician plans to bring humanitarian aid and inform his interlocutor that Bratislava is not going to provide military assistance to Kyiv.

Fico also said that he was going to inform the Ukrainian prime minister about his plans to veto Ukraine's accession to NATO, calling it "the basis of the third world war."

Earlier, Fico spoke about the need for "security guarantees " for Russia. According to him, the aggressor state launched a full-scale invasion "in response to the security situation and Ukraine's pressure to join NATO."

Earlier, Slovakia refused to condemn the transfer of missiles to Russia by North Korea. Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár justified the alleged "lack of evidence" of such deliveries.
