President of the United States Joe Biden responded to the massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine that Russia launched on Christmas Day, December 25. He ordered the Pentagon to continue to increase the supply of weapons to our country.

Biden's statement was published on the White House website. He noted that the aggressor country's targets this time were again Ukrainian cities and critical energy infrastructure.

"The goal of this horrific attack was to cut off Ukrainians' access to heat and electricity in the winter and jeopardize the security of their grid," Biden said.

The US leader emphasized that the Ukrainian people deserve to live in peace and security. The United States and the international community must continue to support Ukraine until it wins the fight against Russian aggression.

Biden said that in recent months the United States has provided Ukraine with hundreds of missiles for air defense systems, and more such munitions are on the way.

"I have ordered the Department of Defense to continue to increase the supply of weapons to Ukraine, and the United States will continue to work tirelessly to strengthen Ukraine's position in its defense against Russian troops," the US president summarized.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy sector on the morning of Wednesday, December 25. He noted that it is necessary to increase assistance to Ukraine so that Kyiv can speak from a position of strength during possible negotiations with the Russian aggressor.
