Long-range missiles for Ukraine

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has responded to Moscow's negative assessment of London's decision to provide Kyiv with Storm Shadow cruise missiles capable of hitting targets 250 kilometres away. The politician smiled ironically, as he is surprised to hear such claims from the Kremlin, which ordered the treacherous invasion of a foreign country.

This was reported by the BBC. Sunak preferred to remind the Russian military command that the United Kingdom has been on the side of Ukraine since the first days of the large-scale war, and does not intend to change its position.

"As we said at the outset, the UK will remain steadfast in its support for Ukraine and its people. Russia needs to understand that we are here for the long haul, and we are not going anywhere," the British leader stressed.

In this way, Sunak debunked the Kremlin's propaganda myth that the West is allegedly tired of the war in Ukraine. Military assistance from our partners continues to increase, especially on the eve of the counter-offensive.

One of the main advantages of Storm Shadow is its ability to bypass powerful air defence systems. The very fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have such missiles in service means that the enemy will not feel safe even hundreds of kilometres from the front line.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, according to Sunak, the UK will continue to support Ukraine as it resists Russian aggression. The Kremlin's army threatens the whole world, so the world is interested in ensuring that the aggressor does not win - and now is a crucial moment.
