Russian services Yandex, Zen, and Rutube blocked in Moldova: what's going on

Moldova has decided to block the Rutube and Zen websites. Both key portals are inextricably linked to the Russian search engine Yandex.

The country's media write about this. They refer to the decision of the Information and Security Service of the Republic.

According to one of the providers, on Thursday, October 3, many Internet users in Moldova began to experience problems with accessing Rutube. The problem was reported by clients of several companies. Also, people could not get to the "Kinopoisk" website.

According to the Moldovan media, users of these sites have already begun to talk about the fact that Rutube will be "shut down" and that it will be possible to access the site only with a VPN. And these fears were not unfounded.

"Just now, there is information that the ISS is requesting to block several websites. In particular, this is the same Rutube, as well as moldova24.online, pwa.moldova24.online, yandex.ru, and dzen.ru," Moldovan media reported.
