President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Germany on December 14 without announcing his visit. His plane landed in Hesse, Frankfurt am Main.
This was reported on X (formerly Twitter) by the German municipal police. They stepped up security measures on the occasion of the arrival of the Ukrainian guarantor.
"There will be short-term road closures and interruptions in the operation of some systems throughout the Rhine-Main," law enforcement officials warned.
The reasons for the unexpected arrival of the President of Ukraine in Germany are not yet known. So far, the media have reported that Zelenskyy's route from Frankfurt is to Wiesbaden.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, today Zelenskyy appealed to 27 leaders of the European Union countries with a call not to betray faith in Europe. He urged European politicians to be decisive and warned of the danger from Russia to all Western countries.
