On the morning of November 30, two unidentified persons opened fire in Jerusalem. The terrorists fired near a bus stop near the entrance to the city.

As a result of the incident, 8 people were injured, some of them in critical condition. This was reported by Israel Hayom.

The victim of the terrorists was a 24-year-old woman. Another person, a 70-year-old man, died in the hospital. It is also known that five of the victims are in critical condition - doctors are trying to save their lives.

At the same time, it is known that law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene eliminated two terrorists. The leadership of the security forces is reassuring local residents and assuring them that a repeat of the shooting is not likely in the near future.

The attack took place at around 7:40 am local time. Two terrorists drove a car to a bus stop near the Givat Shaul intersection and opened fire on civilians. The militants were promptly killed by security forces who were close to the civilians.

According to preliminary data, the terrorists were armed with a pistol and an assault rifle. Law enforcement officers continue to work at the crime scene. The attackers have not yet been identified, but some media reports say they are from East Jerusalem.

An hour after the attack, it was reported that the number of victims had increased to two. A 70-year-old man died in hospital as a result of his injuries. Doctors continue to fight for the lives of the other wounded.

US Ambassador to Israel Jack Lew condemned the actions of terrorists in Jerusalem. The diplomat said that it was a "disgusting and brutal act of terrorism".

"A horrific terrorist attack in Jerusalem this morning. We unequivocally condemn such brutal violence. My thoughts are with the families of the victims and my sincere condolences go out to all those affected," said Jack Lew.

Earlier it was reported that not only Hamas terrorists, but also militants from five other Palestinian paramilitary groups took part in the attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. These are, in particular, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Mujahideen Brigades, and the Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the temporary truce between Israel and Hamas is under threat of termination. The IDF said that on November 28, militants attacked Israeli soldiers in the north of the Gaza Strip, injuring several soldiers, and Hamas responded by accusing Israel of violating the ceasefire.
