The summit in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), scheduled for 5-6 August 2023, has been compared online to the summit in Tehran (Iran) on 28 November 1943. They are both dedicated to military issues. The theme of the Tehran meeting, which was attended by the anti-Hitler coalition, was confrontation with Germany. In Jeddah, world leaders are expected to discuss the full-scale war unleashed by Russia and the peace plan proposed by Ukraine.

The author of the anonymous Telegram channel "Spy Dossier" saw historical parallels in these events. He noted that, based on the format of the summit in Saudi Arabia, the participants plan to consider the future of the Russian Federation without inviting representatives of the Russian Federation itself. By analogy with Tehran 43.

At that time, it was decided to open a second front against Nazi Germany in Western Europe. In particular, the Anglo-American side agreed on the decision to "land in Normandy" (Operation Overlord) in the early summer of 1944. The parties also discussed the shaping of the future of the European continent after the defeat of Germany.
