Poland moved troops to the border with Belarus. The military group was created to carry out Rengaw Operation.

This statement was made by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak during a visit to the base in Jarilówka in Podlaskie Voivodeship. This is reported by the press service of the government.

According to Blaszczak, the purpose of the operation is deterrence and urgent response in case of need.

The Polish Prime Minister assessed the current situation on the border with Belarus as alarming. He expressed the opinion that Poland's border is in danger:

"We are witnessing prolonged pressure on the Polish border, attempts to illegally cross the border by migrants encouraged by the Belarusian regime. There is no doubt that the Belarusian regime cooperates with the Kremlin. This action is directed against Poland to destabilize our country," he stressed.

In addition, the Minister of Defense recalled that the Border Guards commanded the Gryf operation, aimed at closing the border with Belarus, is being implemented. It will involve up to 4 thousand soldiers of the Polish army supporting the border service.

It should be noted that mercenaries of the Wagner Russian private military company were recently spotted 2 km from the border with Poland. They had already attempted to break through from the territory of Belarus. The Polish side is considering complete closure of the border.

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said that some fighters of Wagner OMC were deployed near the Lithuanian state border. The head of state emphasized that the presence of its soldiers in Belarus creates an additional risk factor for the security of his country.
