"Mom, people are praising us!" The White House published news with support for Trump and Vance after a dispute with Zelenskyy: what's wrong with it
The White House has published a praise article for the current American leadership following President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance's spat with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on February 28. To illustrate the "growing support" for the "America First" policy, the article contains comments from Republican senators and representatives, members of the government appointed by Trump, and other officials who came to power after the 2024 elections.
The White House published the "odes" to Trump on its website on February 28. Many members of the Republican Party called the US president "brave" – apparently, they thought it was very "brave" to attack the leader of the state, who is defending the interests of his citizens in a full-scale aggressive and unprovoked war.
According to Trump's fans, the American president allegedly "defended the interests of the United States" and put his own country first.
"This man is no joke," "The days of being despised are clearly over," "This is what we, the people, want to see!" "This is peace through strength!" politicians wrote.
House of Representatives member Pat Garrigan acknowledged: "Trump and Vance have made it clear that Ukraine's interests are not America's interests." And his colleague Mike Rulli repeated the accusations against Kyiv: "You have no cards!"
Interestingly, the White House decided to illustrate its support for Washington's harsh policy with statements made by representatives of the ruling political party in the Cabinet and Congress.
"Mom, people praise us!" – Who, daughter? – I praise you, and you praise me...
At the same time, many world leaders (and even some American politicians) supported Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after the events in Washington on February 28.
World stars (and Ukrainian show business figures) also expressed their support for our country.
As OBOZ.UA previously wrote, after the events of February 28, the White House said that the Donald Trump administration would no longer provide Ukraine with "blank checks for a distant war" because it wants peace. And Volodymyr Zelenskyy allegedly "provoked" J.D. Vance during the February talks.
