The self-proclaimed leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has announced that Russia has moved several dozen nuclear warheads into the country. He emphasized that this is not a joke and that they are tactical.

This was reported by the propaganda resource BelTA. Lukashenko noted that the use of nuclear weapons is a "huge responsibility." He also recalled that since the tragedies in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, none of the leading nuclear powers has yet dared to press the red button.

"Many people say, 'Oh, it's a joke, no one has moved anything'. We did. And the fact that they say it's a joke means they missed everything. They didn't even notice how we transferred them here," the Belarusian leader said.

Lukashenko said that his reaction would be "immediate" if any of "enemies, friends or rivals" crossed the state border.

"It does not matter if nuclear or conventional weapons are used. We agreed on this with the Russians even before they returned the warheads. These are not the weapons we gave them. Those were strategic weapons, while these are tactical nuclear warheads," the Belarusian dictator said.

As a reminder, Alexander Lukashenko recently said that there are at least three dozen sites in the country suitable for deploying Russian Oreshnik missile systems. The selection of locations that will ensure the minimum distance to potential targets is currently underway.

The self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko earlier asked Vladimir Putin to deploy the Russian Oreshnik missile system in the country. He expressed concern about the situation in Western Europe, particularly near the borders with Poland and Lithuania. Putin, in turn, did not rule out the possibility of deploying this system in Belarus.
