On the night of July 2, the Belarusian embassy in the Netherlands was attacked. The building in The Hague was "decorated" with inscriptions dedicated to the self-proclaimed president of this state, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Alexander Lukashenko, and three windows in the embassy were also broken.
Journalists noted that on Sunday night the Belarusian embassy in the Netherlands was attacked. Three windows in the building in The Hague, where Belarusian diplomats were accommodated, were broken, and the walls were decorated with red and black inscriptions "Luka is a terrorist" and the slogan of Belarusian patriots "Long Live Belarus! Žive Forever!".
The police set up a fence around the building and launched an investigation. A 31-year-old man was detained on suspicion of vandalism.
At the same time, D66 MP Serd Sördsma condemned the attack on the embassy.
"No matter how justified your anger against the regime in Belarus, Russia or other countries, do not attack their embassies or residences. It won't help anyone, but it will make the work of our diplomats in those countries less safe," he stressed.
As a reminder, earlier Lukashenko made a statement about the unfinished riot of Prigozhin and his "role" in resolving the situation in Russia. According to the dictator, as soon as he learned that thousands of mercenaries had announced a march on Moscow, he allegedly ordered to bring the Belarusian army to full combat readiness. Lukashenko also said that it was "painful for him to watch" these events.
In addition, the dictator reiterated the thesis, stated several months earlier at the CSTO summit, that "if Russia crashes, we all die.
According to Lukashenko, "the most terrible" would be if the "mutiny" in Russia were "instantly exploited" in the West, which does nothing but "expands NATO to the east" and looks for the right moment to attack Belarus. According to Lukashenko's version, the insidious "enemies" of Belarus arrange "provocations at the state borders of neighboring countries almost daily: from body drop to drone strikes.
He did not specify whose bodies are thrown to Lukashenko by the "enemies".
Also on the eve, Lukashenko banned the media from "unfriendly countries".
