On Thursday, May 23, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a regular Supreme Commander-in-Chief meeting. At the meeting, he listened to reports from Chief of Staff Oleksandr Syrskyi and Head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov.

The Ukrainian leader said this on his Telegram channel. He also noted that the aggressor country wanted to pull Ukrainian troops back to the north and advance in the east.

After the report of the Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov and the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Oleh Ivashchenko, the president said that in addition to Russia's plans on the battlefield, intelligence officers had received a lot of data on the strategy to disrupt the Peace Summit. According to Zelenskyy, this has become the main task of Russian diplomacy and foreign intelligence for the near future.

"An in-person report from the Chief of the Main Command, Oleksandr Syrskyi, who was in Kharkiv region all these days and led the defense of the region. A complete picture of the fighting in the Kharkiv sector and Donbas. The intention of the occupiers is clear: to pull our forces to the north to advance in the east. We know how to respond," Zelenskyy said.

He also noted that he had heard a report from Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on providing the army with everything it needs. According to the president, there are already certain schedules for the delivery of weapons from the already announced and expected aid packages from partners.

Earlier, the President of Ukraine also reacted to the enemy's cynical attack on Kharkiv, calling on partners to provide our country with more means of defense. Russian occupants fired at least 15 missiles at civilians.
