After the adoption of the new law on mobilization, every citizen of Ukraine liable for military service must update their personal data at the territorial recruitment centers. It is noteworthy that this must be done within 60 days after the law comes into force.

If this requirement is ignored, the The Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support may notify the citizen by sending a call-up paper through the mailbox, MP Fedir Venislavskyi told OBOZ.UA in an exclusive interview.

According to him, the legislation requires updating one's personal data at the center. However, if Ukrainians liable for military service do not fulfill this requirement, they will receive a notification by mail. Venislavskyi emphasized that such a message will be considered proper notification of the person.

"This law stipulates that every citizen of Ukraine aged 18 to 60 is obliged to update their personal data at the recruitment centers within 60 days. Therefore, in fact, the notification in this way will definitely not violate human rights in any way. The person will be able to appeal if it arrives late," Venislavskyi said.

The MP also emphasized that absolutely all male citizens of Ukraine are obliged to update their personal data at military registration and enlistment offices within 60 days. The MP added that the summons is still handed over against signature. Therefore, there will be no negative consequences if the call-up paper is thrown into the mailbox as this is considered proper notification.

As a reminder, about half of Ukrainians believe that the mobilization process in Ukraine is going in the wrong direction. At the same time, about 60% of citizens of our country negatively assess the work of the military commissariats and blame them for the disruption of mobilization.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense explained what will change for Ukrainians after the law on mobilization comes into force. In particular, men between the ages of 25 and 60 will need to carry a military ID.
