Ukraine has developed its own guided bombs: when will tests begin?

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will begin testing domestically produced guided aerial bombs (GABs). This will happen in a few weeks.

This was stated by Serhiy Holubtsov, Chief of Aviation of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in an interview with Donbas Realii. He noted that work is currently underway to re-equip and create their own adjusted bombs, based on conventional free-fall bombs.

Holubtsov noted that they include design aspects: it is necessary to select a wing, a GPS module, and a control module.

"In a few weeks we are going to start the first tests of the first batches of such bombs, Ukrainian ones," added Holubtsov.

According to him, the Ukrainian Air Force is currently using Western-made GABs: GBU-39, GBU-62 of various calibers.

Holubtsov also said that these days the Ukrainian Armed Forces use 100-300 high-precision foreign bombs per month. While the Russians use 3000 per month.

The terrorist country Russia strikes at the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine on a daily basis, using, among other things, guided aerial bombs. More than three thousand of these unmanned aerial vehicles land on Ukrainians' heads every month. In May alone, the Russian fascists dropped 3,200 of these shells on our country.

- The day before, Zelensky spoke about progress in agreements on additional air defense systems and other weapons for Ukraine. It is also planned to produce 155 mm caliber shells in our country.

- The president also said that Russia had failed to implement the Kharkiv operation. He emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully destroyed all Russian units that entered.
