Zelenskyy summarizes the results of his visit to Argentina

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted that during his visit to Argentina, other Latin American countries heard Ukraine. He added that he had invited the new President of Argentina, Javier Gerardo Milei, to work together to restore peace.

The Head of State said this in a traditional address to the Ukrainian people and the world at the end of the 655th day of the war with Russia on Sunday, December 10. The video was published by the presidential press service.

Zelenskyy noted that many people chanted the word "freedom" on the streets of Buenos Aires today. Libertad. According to him, this is something that tangibly unites Ukraine and Argentina and our peoples, who value freedom, their identity and strive to live in dignity above all else.

"Javier wants strength for his country, and I felt that he wants honesty in international relations. I thanked him for supporting Ukraine and invited him to work together with us to restore peace," the Head of State informed.

He said that he discussed with the new Argentine president bilateral cooperation between the countries, which can "add economic strength and create jobs for our peoples." Zelenskyi called the meeting with Millais good and bright.

"I sincerely wish Argentina the right decisions and sustainable growth: less poverty and more strength.. And let freedom only grow," the President of Ukraine emphasized.

He reminded that he also held talks with three other leaders of the region: Paraguay, Uruguay, and Ecuador in Buenos Aires. They discussed our international work with them and our cooperation.

In addition, on the sidelines of the inauguration, Zelenskyy spoke with Hungarian Prime Minister Orban.

"It was as frank as possible, and it is clear that it was about our European affairs," he commented.

The politician also spoke on the phone with French President Macron and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The conversations focused on joint work at the EU level and joint defense of Europe.

"I met with our community in Argentina, with those Ukrainians whose roots here go back decades and decades. I am grateful for the preservation of our culture, our identity, our language. I am grateful that the connection with Ukraine is maintained despite geography, despite any adversity," Zelenskyy said.

The President added that on December 11 and 12, he and his team would be in Washington, D.C., for meetings and negotiations.

"President Biden, Congress. These are important things. We use every day, every hour to give Ukraine, our people more, to give more opportunities, to give more protection, more strength. I thank everyone who helps! I thank everyone who fights and works for the interests of our state, our society, our freedom and our victory!" Zelenskyy summarized.
