Ukraine needs air defense systems and ammunition, airplanes and other military equipment and weapons. And our Ukrainian partners agree to provide such assistance to our country, but they always have to be persuaded to hurry up, because "time means losses."

As President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted in his latest address to the country, he once again had to urge his partners to speed up the decision to provide weapons. After all, the occupiers are not waiting for the Defense Forces to be armed, but are now attacking Ukrainian civilians.

"All day today in Kramatorsk we have been clearing the rubble after a Russian missile strike. Journalists, in particular, were injured - the Reuters crew. Citizens of Ukraine, America and Britain. An ordinary city hotel was destroyed by a Russian Iskander. Absolutely purposefully, thoughtfully. Seven people were injured and one person was killed by this strike," the President reminded.

Daily Russian strikes continue, "because Russia has the ability to continue."

"Today, Russian strikes on our Sumy region - with bombs, on Kharkiv, Kherson, Donetsk regions. We need to avoid any delays in logistics for our defense. So that our soldiers can act exactly as the frontline requires," Zelensky said.

He emphasized that Ukraine has "some high-profile announcements of defense packages from partners that have not been fully implemented for months," as well as agreements on the supply of air defense systems "that are still being implemented."

Separately, the President recalled the sanctions against Russia and its associates.

"There is a G7 decision on 50 billion for Ukraine from frozen Russian assets. We need a real mechanism to ensure that this year the funds are used to support our state and people," Zelensky said.

"Time means losses. The longer we have to wait, the more damage Russia will have time to do. And all our conversations with leaders, all negotiations are about this," the president explained.

Zelensky also praised the Ukrainian drone missile "Palianytsia", but noted that "there are tasks that can be performed by "Palianytsia" and "Neptune", and there are tasks that can only be performed by ATACMS, Storm Shadow, SCALP EG and other weapons of partners".

Regarding the operation in Kursk region, the President said he had spoken about it with the chief of the military, Oleksandr Syrsky.

"There is a progress of one to three kilometers. Two more settlements have been taken under control. Active actions are underway in one more settlement. There is a replenishment of the exchange fund," Zelensky said.

The President also mentioned traitors, fugitives and collaborators who are working against our country in one way or another.

"Ukraine needs clear answers about such persons. Clear responsibility so that all these "comrades" get what they deserve, no matter where they hide and where they run," Zelensky said and added that he would have a meeting tomorrow with the heads of the SBU, the Interior Ministry, the DBR, the NABU, the SAP, the State Border Guard Service and intelligence representatives on this topic.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Germany is reconsidering its aid to Ukraine, and the UK is also "on pause."
