The plant is used for ammunition storage: it became known how many Russian military personnel are at ZNPP

About 500 Russians are now at Zaporizhzhia NPP

As of today, about 500 Russian military and Rosatom employees are staying at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The occupants are using the site of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to store ammunition.

This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia RMA Yuriy Malashko. He also noted that the Russians shell populated areas of Kyiv-controlled territory from the station, knowing that Ukraine will not shoot back.

"About 500 Russian military and Rosatom employees are at the station. We do not know what kind of weapons they are using, what they have passed in to mine the station," Malashko said

At the same time, he noted that there is no real threat, as Ukrainian workers, despite the pressure, continue to faithfully perform their functions at ZNPP.

"All structures of the region are ready to respond promptly to the emergency and the population of Zaporizhzhia region is informed about the procedure for action in case of emergency," the RMA head assured.

Earlier OBOZREVATEL reported that according to the Defense Ministry GUR, the Russian occupants continue to mine Zaporizhzhia NPP and objects on the territory of the strategic facility. In particular, intelligence recorded the delivery of mines and explosives to Zaporizhzhia NPP.

For its part, the IAEA reported that the Russian occupants are preparing to transfer ZNPP unit No. 4 from "cold shutdown" to "hot shutdown". The procedure planned by them is allegedly necessary to bring unit No. 5 out of "hot shutdown" and transfer it to "cold shutdown" for preventive maintenance.
