The occupiers will attempt to regroup: the Main Intelligence Directorate commented on the deployment of the Defense Forces on the left bank of Kherson region

After consolidating the Defense Forces on several bridgeheads on the left bank of the Kherson region, officially announced by the military on November 17, the occupants will attempt to regroup. They have constructed a multi-echelon defense system in the occupied part of the region and appear to be prepared for a potential retreat to the left bank of the Kherson region.

Despite the enemy's plans and actions, Ukrainian soldiers are currently searching for weaknesses in the Russian defense and have their vision of liberating the region from the occupiers. This was stated by a representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Yevhen Yerin, on Radio Liberty.

The representative of Ukraine's military intelligence refused to disclose details of the Ukrainian Defense Forces' operation on the left bank of the Kherson region after the military officially confirmed that they had secured several footholds there. However, he noted that the invaders would attempt to regroup their troops.

"We will not provide specific details about the left bank for now. I will only say one thing. Certainly, the occupiers will attempt to regroup in some way. They have established a multi-echelon defense system, and I understand that they were preparing for such scenarios, anticipating the need to retreat from the left bank. We'll see how the situation develops further," Yerin said.

The representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine also mentioned that Ukrainian soldiers are studying the Russian defense on the left bank of the Kherson region, searching for weaknesses in it.

"We carry out such actions regularly and have our vision of how and in what way to liberate our territory," Yerin added.

On the morning of November 17, the Ukrainian military officially confirmed, for the first time, that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had secured positions in several footholds on the left bank of the Kherson region. Since the commencement of the operation on the eastern bank of the Dnipro, they have inflicted significant losses on the invaders. Specifically, the Russian Armed Forces suffered approximately 3,500 casualties, including killed and wounded, and over 300 pieces of enemy equipment and weapons were destroyed.

The defenders also detonated 29 enemy ammunition depots and four command posts.
