Syrskyi is preparing two action plans for the Armed Forces: Zelenskyi reveals details

Zelenskyi said that Syrskyi is preparing two plans for the war, depending on US assistance

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi is currently developing two versions of the plan for further actions of our troops at the front. Which of them will be implemented will depend on whether our country receives assistance from the United States.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in an interview with CNN. He noted that if we do receive assistance, our Armed Forces will be able to begin to repel Russian troops. If there is no military support from the United States, the Defense Forces will have to focus only on defending and holding their positions.

According to the guarantor, without U.S. assistance, it will be difficult for Ukraine not only to gain new achievements on the battlefield but also to continue to defend itself this year.

"People will be prepared, but the ammunition will not be prepared and the brigades will not be ready... not only for our counteroffensive, they will not be ready to defend themselves, to be strong. It will be very difficult," Zelenskyi emphasized.

The President also spoke about his conversation with House Speaker Mike Johnson about the US aid package for Ukraine. After the conversation, Zelenskyi "felt optimistic".

"He (Johnson - Ed.) said that he would do everything to support Ukraine, and he is on our side and understands how heroic our people, our soldiers and civilians are," the guarantor said.

The President also turned to his American counterpart Joe Biden for help. "I asked the president (Biden - Ed.)...' Please, Mr. President, I ask you to help me and the Ukrainian people...please have a meeting with each other, Democrats and Republicans, and please, can you come to an agreement?' Zelenskyi said.

Time is of the essence when it comes to providing military assistance to Ukraine, CNN writes. It recalled that earlier Zelenskyi said that Russia could try to launch a new offensive at the end of May.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, following a trip to the frontline command posts of the military, said that the situation was "difficult in many areas." He noted that Russians are storming the positions of Ukrainian soldiers and the situation on the battlefield requires constant monitoring.
