Syrsky: Russia throws prisoners to assault in Kupyansk sector, enemy actively uses aviation

The command of the Russian occupation troops sent prisoners to attack in the Kupyansk sector. At the same time, the invaders are actively using aviation to strike at the positions of Ukrainian defenders.

In general, the enemy continues to conduct active offensive actions in the area of responsibility of the "Khortytsia" separate military unit. This was reported by the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky.

"In the Kupyansk sector, units formed from former prisoners of the Storm, Storm Z, Storm V programs are used to storm Ukrainian positions. The presence of former so-called "Wagners" is also recorded, who also join the assaults," the statement said.

It is noted that the Russian occupiers have no success in this area.

Fighting between the invaders and the Ukrainian Defense Forces continues near Ivanivka and Synkivka in the Kharkiv region.

At the same time, the enemy is trying to storm the Serebryansky forest in the Liman sector.

According to Syrsky, Putin's army is actively using bombers, fighter aircraft and helicopters for fire support.

In addition, in the Bakhmut sector, the Russian occupiers continue to try to force Ukrainian defenders out of their positions in Klishchiyivka. In this area, the Russian occupiers have intensified the use of kamikaze drones. However, the enemy has no success in this area.

Intotal, since the beginning of the month, Russian occupants have lost 8690 personnel. Also, our defenders destroyed or damaged 1002 pieces of military equipment, including 109 tanks, 175 armored combat vehicles and more than two hundred artillery systems and mortars of various calibers.

- The ISW noted that the enemy uses less mechanized capabilities compared to October. According to analysts, the occupiers' new assaults will not lead to their rapid advance.

- The Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the invaders launched the third wave of the assault on Avdiivka, trying to attack "head-on," which had not happened before. The enemy's actions are illogical and are related to the absurd demands of their command.

- Vitaliy Barabash, head of the Avdiivka сity military administration, said that the occupiers are "coming in all directions" near Avdiivka, but unlike previous waves of the offensive, they are not advancing in columns.
