Residents of Dnipro shared the horror of the nighttime Russian missile attack on July 1. People did not understand what was happening and did not know where to run. Seven people were injured as a result of the Russian ballistic missile, and about a hundred private and multi-story buildings were damaged.

A video with eyewitness accounts was published by the press service of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration. "Air raid alert. A moment and the first explosion. After that, there was no more peace in Dnipro. Residents of the neighborhood where the strike occurred recall the night's events with trepidation," the statement reads.

Viktoriia, a resident of an apartment building damaged by shelling, said that she was thrown onto her crib by the blast wave. Her son, who is not yet two years old, was very scared. She could not calm the child down for an hour.

"The first explosion took me by surprise, the blast wave turned me 180 degrees and threw me on the crib. The child immediately started crying, so I grabbed him and ran into the corridor. The front door was a little bit warped and the lock was three centimeters away from the screws," the woman says.

Kateryna and her daughter Polina have been back in their home for two days since they returned from abroad, where they fled the war. They wanted to visit their loved ones, but found themselves in the middle of hell, the RMA noted.

"Relatives ran to the corridor before the explosion, they were not injured. We ran to the corridor after the explosion. The child is in shock, I'm also in shock, I'm still shaking," says Kateryna.

All Liudmyla, the owner of a private house destroyed by a rocket attack, remembers is her husband, who was bleeding. He was hit by glass flying from the windows of his own house.

"To be honest, we couldn't understand anything. We jumped up and ran, where to run... Everything was falling everywhere, glass everywhere, everything was open, everything was torn out. It was just horrible. The man was cut, he was covered in blood, blood was flowing down his stomach, down his head. The situation is so difficult," the woman said.

Marharyta, a student in the dormitory that was destroyed by the attack, heard the terrible sounds and ran down the stairs. At the same time, she was looking in on her dorm neighbors. She asked if everyone was okay. When she left the occupied Enerhodar two years ago, she expected peace.

"It's just a lot of bang, bang, bang over our heads. It's really scary. And we hear something happening, but we can't understand what it is. We went up there, thought we were going to go upstairs, and we started to see that there were no windows anymore. The guy's door was blown out along with the lock, and when we started walking around the floors, some old ladies were blocked, so we went up and got them because their doors were blown out. ...You don't know what's going to happen, you're afraid to go to bed, because you might not wake up tomorrow. One more missile and it's flying at you," the girl said.

According to the RMA, 80 private houses and 19 multi-story buildings were damaged as a result of the night shelling of Dnipro. Two educational institutions and an outpatient clinic were damaged. Shops, a pharmacy, and a car were damaged.
