Russian troops shelled de-occupied Kozacha Lopan with tanks: houses damaged. Photo

The occupiers do not leave the de-occupied territories alone

Russian troops, who were forced to leave the territory of Ukraine under the onslaught of the Defence Forces, are desperate to take revenge on civilians by shelling de-occupied cities and towns. For example, on 3 July, the invaders attacked the urban-type settlement of Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv region, which was liberated from Russia in September 2022.

This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office on Facebook. There were about ten explosions in the village, and residential buildings were seriously damaged.

It is known that the Russian occupiers used tanks to shell Lopan. There is no information about the victims.

"Under the procedural supervision of the Dergachiv District Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv Region, a pre-trial investigation was initiated into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutor's office said.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL reported that Russian troops also attacked Sumy with attack drones. The strike damaged a residential building in the city centre, killing one person and injuring 16 others.

The moment of another drone attack was caught on camera. The footage shows how a fire cloud from the detonation rose over the building in a split second, and fragments of the destroyed structure flew in all directions.
