Russian troops continue to advance in 5 directions: Ukrainian Armed Forces repel 28 enemy attacks - General Staff

Russian Federation troops concentrated their main efforts in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka sectors. There were 28 combat engagements there over the last day.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided an update on the situation at the frontline. The summary as of 18:00 on Saturday, 15 July (the 507th day of Russia's full-scale war against our country) was published on the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On 15 July, the Russian army launched an air strike with two Iranian Shahed strike UAVs and two anti-aircraft guided missiles against Ukraine. As a result of successful combat operations, our air defence system destroyed two enemy kamikaze drones.

In addition, the enemy carried out 32 air strikes and 15 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.

"The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high," the General Staff warned.

The situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors remained unchanged. There are no signs of offensive groups being formed. At the same time, certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

The enemy maintains a military presence on the Siversky and Slobozhansky directions. On 15 July, enemy air strikes were recorded near Volfino, Sumy region, and Ustynivka, Kharkiv region. The Russian Federation Armed Forces also fired mortar and artillery shells at more than 20 settlements. These include, in particular, Zaliznyi Mist in Chernihiv region, Bilokopytove and Progress in Sumy region, Kozacha Lopan, Veterynne and Krasne in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk sector, our troops are holding steadfastly the defence. Over the last day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions south of Novoselivske in Luhansk region. He launched an air strike in the same area. Dvorichne, Krasne Pershe, Kolodyazne, Novomlynsk and Berestove in Kharkiv region came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman sector, the occupants conducted unsuccessful offensives east of Vesele in Donetsk region over the past day. They carried out air strikes in the areas of Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Ivano-Daryivka, Fedorivka, and Rozdolivka in Donetsk region. The Russian Federation Armed Forces shelled Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Torske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled all enemy attacks southwest of Andriivka. The enemy attacked from the air near Diliyivka. More than 10 localities suffered from enemy artillery fire, including Markove, Khromove, Diliyivka and Vasyukivka in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Pervomayske and launched an air strike near New York, Donetsk region. The occupants fired artillery at more than 10 Ukrainian settlements. These include Nevelske, Pervomayske, Stepove, and Avdiivka in Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka sector, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive in the vicinity of Mariinka. The enemy launched an air strike there. He fired at more than 10 localities, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Katerynivka and Heorhiivka in Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Novomykhailivka and launched an air strike near Blahodatne in the Donetsk region. It fired at the localities of Velyka Novosilka, Vuhledar, Prechistivka and Blahodatne.

At the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the invaders are focusing their main efforts on preventing further advance of our troops. The Russian Armed Forces conducted an air strike near Nikolske in Kherson region. The enemy shelled more than 15 settlements with artillery, including: Levadne, Novodarivka, Gulyaypole in Zaporizhzhia region; Ivanivka, Kutsurub in Mykolaiv region; Dniprovske, Zolota Balka, Romashkove, Kyzomys in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

At the same time, Ukraine's defenders continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidate their positions, inflict artillery fire on the enemy's targets, and carry out counter-battery activities.

Our aviation carried out nine strikes on the areas where occupants' personnel were concentrated over the day. Our defenders also destroyed six reconnaissance UAVs on 15 July.

Ukrainian missile and artillery units destroyed two ammunition depots, four artillery pieces at firing positions and two enemy air defence systems over the past day.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added that the enemy continues to use civilian healthcare facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine for its own purposes.

It has been established that in the village of Pokazne, Zaporizhzhia region, Russian invaders took about 200 patients from the building of the Mykhailivskyi psychoneurological boarding school to an unknown destination, and dismissed the staff. In the future, a military hospital is planned to be located on the territory and premises of this institution to treat wounded Russian military personnel.
