Russian "Shahed" launched from Ukraine flies 350 km over Belarus and disappears

A Russian kamikaze drone flew into the territory of Belarus

On the night of July 13, Russia again attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones. One of these UAVs allegedly entered Belarusian airspace at around 3 a.m. across the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in the Gomel region.

This was reported by the monitoring group Belaruski Gayun. The drone circled over the country for almost three hours and apparently flew as far as Vitebsk and disappeared.

The "Shahed" type kamikaze drone flew through Gomel and Zhlobin, then entered the Mogilev region and then the Minsk region, approaching Minsk (Zhodzina and Borisov). After that, it entered the Vitebsk region of Belarus and probably reached the city of Vitebsk. In total, the drone flew over the territory of Belarus at night and on the morning of July 13 for more than 350 km.

At 5 a.m., the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense Forces were again alerted for interception. A Mi-24 helicopter and a Su-30 fighter unsuccessfully patrolled the southeast of Vitebsk Oblast for an hour and a half.

The fate of the Shahed in Belarus is unknown. There is no information about its downing or crash. Belarusian aviation returned to its permanent deployment.

Earlier it was reported that on the night of July 13, the Russian terrorist army once again attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones. In total, the enemy launched 5 UAVs over the territory of our country. Mobile fire groups destroyed 4 drones. Another drone left Ukrainian airspace in the direction of the Gomel region of Belarus.

On the evening of July 11, during another Russian drone strike on Ukraine, one of the enemy's Shahed-136s flew over the territory of Belarus. The Belarusian army knew about it, as its Mi-24 helicopter and fighter jet were "monitoring" the Russian attack on Ukraine.
