Russian army suffers significant losses in manpower and armored vehicles: 156 combat engagements took place in total at the front - General Staff

On Wednesday, December 4, 156 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian occupation forces took place in all sectors of the frontline. The situation was the most tense in the Pokrovske and Kurakhove sectors, and the enemy is also active in the Kupyansk, Lyman and Vremivsk sectors.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00. It was noted that during the day, the enemy conducted 25 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine using 29 anti-aircraft gunships and used 654 kamikaze drones to destroy them.

In total, the enemy fired almost 4,000 times at the positions of our troops and populated areas using various types of weapons.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked five times near Vovchansk and Hlyboke. One firefight is still ongoing. Veterinary came under an air strike.

In the Kupyansk direction, the aggressor tried to advance to our positions near Kucherivka, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Pershotravneve, Zelenyi Hai and Lozova 15 times during the day. All enemy attacks were repelled by the Defense Forces. The occupiers' aviation also struck Dvorichna with KABs, while Lozova and Petropavlivka were attacked with unguided aircraft missiles.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 13 times in the areas of Hrekivka, Druzhelyubivka, Makiivka, Terny and Zarichne. Ukrainian troops stopped 11 enemy attempts to advance. Two firefights are still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy conducted four offensives against the positions of our troops in the Toretsk area. Two attacks have already been repelled by Ukrainian troops, others are ongoing. Konstantinovka was subjected to air strikes by Ukrainian military aircraft.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has tried to break into our defense 39 times in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zhovte, Shevchenko, Pushkine and Novopustyanka. Our troops repelled 36 attacks, while other battles are ongoing.

According to the information available at the moment, the occupants' losses in this area amounted to more than 300 people killed and wounded over the day. Two armored combat vehicles, four cars were also destroyed, and three cannons, one armored combat vehicle and one piece of automotive equipment were damaged.

In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy attacked our positions 38 times. The enemy was most active in the area of Sontsivka, Berestky, Zorya, Novodmytrivka, Kurakhove, Dalne, Dachne, Romanivka, Yelizavetivka and Uspenivka, where Ukrainian troops repelled 31 attacks, seven engagements are still ongoing. The village of Ulakly was hit by a KAB airstrike.

In the Vremivsk direction, our troops repelled 10 enemy attacks near Zelene Pole, Novodarivka, Kostiantynopolske and Sukhi Yaly, two more engagements are still ongoing.

In the Gulyaypole and Orikhiv directions, the enemy conducted air strikes on the areas of Gulyaypole and Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovsky direction , the enemy continues to try to drive our units from their positions, launching two unsuccessful assaults over the last day.

Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 enemy attacks in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, fighting continues in six other locations.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that the Russian invaders are planning a new offensive on Kherson. According to him, the invaders are actively preparing and have gathered 300 boats to cross the Dnipro.
