Russia launched Kinzhal missiles: explosions heard in Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia regions

Kyiv region

The first sounds of explosions began to be reported by Kyiv citizens just a few minutes after the sirens went off in the capital.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klychko announced that the defenders had shot down an enemy missile over the city already at 10:16. According to him, the debris fell on the territory of one of the children's hospitals.

"There are no casualties or damage. Emergency services are heading to the site," he wrote.

Head of Kyiv RMA Serhiy Popko specified that several pieces of the destroyed Russian missile fell in Obolonskyi district. Data on the victims and destruction are being clarified.

"Two more places of debris fal in Obolon district of Kyiv are found: the roof of a private house.on the Bohatyrska street is damaged. The debris in the open area in one of the Obolon's dacha cooperatives is also found. There are no casualties," Klychko confirmed.

Head of Kyiv region RMA Ruslan Kravchenko urged the inhabitants of the region to keep informational silence, not to film and not to post the work of our defenders on the network.

Khmelnytskyi region

It was loud in the region. The first deputy head of the RMA Serhiy Tyurin said that air defense systems were working in the region.

"You can hear explosions in the region. Air defense is working. Stay in shelters! Take care of yourselves and your loved ones!" he noted.

Vinnytsia region

Explosions were also reported in Vinnytsia region. The head of the RMA Serhiy Borzov urged people to go to shelters.

"I ask everyone to go to the shelters! Do not neglect your safety! The defense forces of the region are working!" he declared.

An air raid alert was heard across the country at about 10:35 a.m.
