Russia hits Dnipro center: nine injured, five-story residential building on fire, there may be people under the rubble

On April 19 in the morning, the terrorist state of Russia fired missiles at Dnipro and the region during a combined attack on Ukraine. A five-story building in the regional center was hit: the building was partially destroyed, and people are being searched for under the rubble.

Nine residents were preliminarily injured, while damage and casualties were reported in several districts of the region. The head of the Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, reported on the consequences.

"Dnipro is under fire. Our sky defenders are working. Stay in safe places until the end of the air raid alert," the official said after 05:20.

Local Telegram channels noted that several explosions were heard in the city, after which smoke rose into the sky. As a result of the shelling, a blast wave damaged windows and broke glass in buildings.

Later, the head of the RMA confirmed that a five-story residential building in Dnipro was on fire: it was partially destroyed, and there may be people under the rubble.

Mayor Borys Filatov said that the enemy hit the city center. As of 07:00, nine civilians were reported injured.

In addition, an infrastructure facility was damaged in the Kryvyi Rih district of Dnipropetrovsk region. There is also destruction in the Sinelnykivski district. A woman died there.

"We will have more information later. In the meantime, take care of your safety. The air raid alert continues," Lysak said.
