Russia attacked Ukraine with 28 missiles in the morning: air defense forces shot down 16 targets

The defenders of Ukraine on the morning of August 15 shot down 16 Russian cruise missiles in the sky above a number of regional centers. In total, the aggressor country Russia attacked 28 targets, some of which resulted in arrivals.

In particular, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipro, Cherkasy region, Lviv and Lutsk came under attack. On the work of air defense reported in the air forces of the AFU.

It is noted that the massive attack began around 04:00 Tuesday. There were recorded launches of at least 28 cruise missiles of various types, among which:

- four X-22 cruise missiles - from six Tu-22M3 long-range aircraft (Soltsy, Shaikovka airfields);

- 20 Kh-101/X-555 cruise missiles from 11 strategic aviation aircraft (Engels, Olenegorsk airfields);

- four Kalibr cruise missiles from a frigate from the waters of the Black Sea (Yalta area).

An air alert was declared throughout Ukraine. Air defense worked in many regions: anti-aircraft missile units, mobile firing groups, fighter aviation, direct cover units . Destroyed 16 cruise missiles Kh-101 / Kh-555 in the AFU AFU.

According to the military also recorded eight launches of enemy anti-aircraft guided missiles S-300 / S-400 on the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhya regions.
