President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the Russian massive attack that the occupiers launched against Ukraine on August 26, launching about a hundred missiles and hundreds of Shaheds. He called on Western countries to take "strong decisions" to stop this war.

The relevant address was published on the President's Telegram. He emphasized that the consequences of the Russian strike are currently being eliminated across the country.

"It was one of the biggest strikes – a combined one. More than a hundred missiles of various types and about a hundred Shaheds. And, like most previous Russian strikes, this one is just as vile, targeting critical civilian infrastructure," the President emphasized, expressing condolences to the families of those killed in the shelling.

"There is a lot of damage in the energy sector. But wherever there is a power outage, restoration work is already underway. Repair crews will work around the clock. We will restore electricity," the Head of State assured.

At the same time, he said that the Russian army and its dictator can only do what the world allows them to do.

"Putin does not betray himself: he is a sick creature – everyone has understood this. But it is also clear that he can only do what the world allows him to do. Weakness and insufficiency of decisions in response feed terror. And every leader, every partner of ours knows what strong decisions are needed to end this war, and to end it fairly," the Ukrainian leader said.

He called for the lifting of restrictions on Ukraine's long-range aircraft, as Russian terrorists do not have them.

"The defenders of life cannot have restrictions on weapons when Russia is using its own weapons of all types, as well as "Shaheds" and ballistic missiles from North Korea. America, Britain, France, and other partners have the power to help us stop terror. We need solutions," the head of state said.

Zelenskyy called on the partners to implement the agreements: air defense systems and missiles for them, as well as joint shooting down of missiles and drones.

"Today they had targets in Volyn, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Vinnytsia region, Khmelnytskyi region, our Ternopil region. In our various regions of Ukraine, we could do much more to protect lives if the aviation of our European neighbors worked together with our F-16s and together with our air defense," Zelenskyy emphasized.
