Polish PM Morawiecki made an ambiguous pass to Russian propaganda with statement on weapons

The country will not slow down the work of the arms supply hub

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki made an ambiguous pass to Russian propaganda. He spoke about weapons. He emphasized that Warsaw is now focused on rearming its own army and therefore is not giving Kyiv any military aid.

Morawiecki said this on the Polsat TV channel. According to him, Poland is not currently transferring weapons to Ukraine, but it will not slow down the work of the arms supply hub.

"We are not currently transferring weapons to Ukraine, as we are arming ourselves with the most modern weapons. We have good relations, we want victory and we are helping to achieve this victory over the Russian barbarian. We will not risk the security of Ukraine, and our hub in Rzeszow, in cooperation with the Americans and NATO, has been working all along and will continue to fulfill its role," Morawiecki said.

By the way, Poland was the first country to provide Ukraine with tanks and helicopters to combat Russian aggression, and other countries were also involved. Now a lot of our equipment is being repaired in the neighboring country. Poland has become a hub for supplies from other countries.

In total, the amount of support from Poland amounted to more than three billion euros.

However, now, in the context of tense relations, this statement was perceived ambiguously. Especially against the backdrop of the embargo on Ukrainian grain.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, the European Commission has decided not to extend the ban on Ukrainian grain exports to the EU, which expired on September 15. It is to be replaced by restrictions that will help to control the volume of products exported from Ukraine. It is up to Ukraine to develop such measures for itself.

In addition, the Polish authorities have announced that they will stop all assistance to Ukrainian refugees in 2024. They will lose the right to free access to healthcare, education, and the labor market, as well as the ability to legally stay in the country and receive benefits. This statement was a continuation of the conflict that has arisen between the Ukrainian and Polish authorities.
