Photo of warm meeting between Hasidic pilgrim and soldier from Azov regiment stirs up the web
A warm meeting between an Azov soldier who came to celebrate Rosh Hashanah in Uman, Cherkasy region, and a Hasidic pilgrim was posted online. The pilgrim kissed the chevron in the form of a red and black flag with the Star of David on the uniform of the defender of Ukraine.
The touching moment was captured on camera by photographer Vladislav Musienko. He posted on his Facebook page that the photos were taken on September 16.
"Uman, Ukraine. A Hasidic pilgrim kisses a chevron in the form of a red and black flag with the Star of David on the arm of the Ukrainian military regiment Azov with the call sign Rebbe," the author of the photo captioned it.
He said that the "Rebbe" is defending Ukraine from the Russian aggressor at the front. The soldier came from the front line to the east for one day to celebrate Rosh Hashanah (celebrated on September 15-17) in the city of Uman together with other believers.
"Weekdays and holidays of the 'Ukrainian Nazis,'" Musienko joked.
In the comments, netizens admired the strong shots and noted that we are living in historic times.
