Occupiers attacked Odesa region from at least three directions at night: Bratchuk shared details

Occupants attacked Odesa region with Shahed drones at night

On the night of October 1, the aggressor country Russia launched Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones. They tried to attack the Odesa region from at least three directions.

Preliminarily, there were no hits in the region. This was reported by Serhiy Bratchuk, head of the Public Council at the Odesa Regional Military Administration, during a TV marathon.

According to him, the occupants combined the attack as much as possible and "it was confusing". In particular, the attack UAVs were flying from several directions: Chauda Cape in the temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as from the Russian cities of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk.

Bratchuk added that the enemy is actively using electronic warfare in the south to detect Ukrainian air defense systems. These are fake targets.

"The enemy is also trying to exhaust and look for loopholes in the air defense system in this way," he said.

It should be noted that the air raid alert in the Odesa region lasted from Saturday evening to 01:52 on Sunday, October 1. Monitoring channels reported on drones over the region and the work of air defense forces.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, several groups of Shahed-type kamikaze drones were observed moving from the Black Sea towards the Odesa region before midnight. Several more groups were already in the region at that time, heading northwest.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, on the night of October 1, Russian troops struck Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia using S-300 missiles. Explosions were also heard in the Mykolaiv region.
