"Let me tell you this." Zaluzhny comments on wiretapping in his office for the first time. All the details

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny commented for the first time on the discovery of a wiretap in his office. He confirmed that it was found in the room where he was supposed to move on Monday, December 18.

Zaluzhny said this in a comment to the Ukrainian media. "Let me tell you this: this is the room I was supposed to use today. Yesterday, during the inspection, they found (wiretapping - ed.) in it," the Commander-in-Chief said.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that on Sunday, December 17, during a routine inspection of the premises, elements of equipment for capturing information were found in one of the locations.

In particular, listening devices were installed in the offices intended for the work of Zaluzhny and employees of the Commander-in-Chief's Support Staff.

TheSecurity Service of Ukraine is investigating this incident.

"The Security Service of Ukraine has been notified in order to establish the circumstances of the incident, its consequences and the persons involved," the General Staff emphasized.

On December 17, Ukrainian media reported that a listening device was allegedly found in the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny during an inspection.

The Security Service of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings over the discovery of the technical device under Article 359, Part 2 (illegal acquisition, sale or use of special technical means of obtaining information) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Later, it turned out that the listening devices were found in two offices at the Armed Forces headquarters: one of those used by Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhny and his personal assistant Konstantin Bushuyev. Currently, all personnel who had access to these rooms are being tested with a lie detector.
