Kuleba says Germany is annoyed by questions about Taurus missiles

Germany is annoyed by questions about Taurus missiles

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Germany is annoyed by questions about the possibility of supplying Taurus cruise missiles to the Ukrainian army. The head of the diplomatic department emphasized that the German authorities have put themselves in this situation.

The Foreign Minister added that Berlin must now find a way out of the Taurus missile issue. He said this in an interview with Politico.

According to the foreign minister, when he raises the issue of supplying Taurus missiles, he always receives an irritated response from Berlin.

"Look, I'm tired of answering this. I'm sorry. You can quote me, I don't mind. But every time I answer a question, I get an irritated response from Berlin. Leave it to them. They put themselves in this situation. Let them find a way out," Kuleba said.

As for the $60 billion aid package to Ukraine from the United States, Kuleba said that Kyiv would welcome the decision of the Congress. At the same time, he added that every time he hears about another postponement, he says: "God bless America and the US Congress."

To recap, Kuleba said that Ukraine is grateful to all its Western partners for the military assistance provided. At the same time, he emphasized that the actions of the allies do not always correspond to their rhetoric.

Earlier, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that the discussion around the transfer of German long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine in recent months has been "pushed to the extreme." This, according to the official, harms not only the resolution of this issue but also the support of Ukraine by its Western partners.

As OBOZ.UA reported, the lower house of the German parliament, the Bundestag, voted against sending Taurus missiles to Ukraine. Most MPs voted against the initiative of the CDU and CSU on March 14.
