First donations from her pension, then medicines: Budanov honors 81-year-old grandmother from Lutsk who helps sink Russian ships. Video
The head of the Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, expressed his gratitude to the 81-year-old woman from Lutsk for her great contribution to supporting the Ukrainian army. Even with a small pension, Tamara Lazarenko constantly finds an opportunity to help, directing her donations to the purchase of naval drones that help sink Russian ships.
This was reported by the DIU press service. 81-year-old Tamara Lazarenko from Lutsk became a real sensation on social media because of her generous donations to purchase drones for the DIU.
Impressed by Tamara's patriotism, Budanov decided to personally thank her. A representative of the GUR, Andriy Yusov, visited her and brought her a tablet with a record of Budanov's gratitude, as well as a plaque with his thanks.
"When I get my pension, I first donate for drones, then buy medicine, and the rest I spend on treats," Tamara said.
She systematically records all her donations in an old notebook, and next to it she keeps a list of sunken Russian ships that were destroyed with her contributions, among other things.
As a reminder, Ukrainian Magura V5 naval surface drones, skillfully operated by operators of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, have turned into a nightmare for the Russian fleet. Since the beginning of their use, these drones have caused about $500 million in damage to enemy ships.
