The occupiers attacked Kyiv with missiles

On the morning of Monday, December 11, a series of explosions were heard in Kyiv before the air raid alert was announced. Later it became known that air defense systems were operating in the city, fragments of enemy missiles fell in several districts, and there were victims.

According to OBOZ.UA correspondents, at least six explosions were heard around 04:15. The alarm was announced in the city a few minutes later. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Telegram about the missile threat in Kyiv region.

According to local residents, explosions were heard in different parts of the capital. Monitoring channels urged Kyiv residents to stay in safe places until the alarm was lifted. They suggested that the Russian occupiers were probably trying to attack the city with ballistic weapons - Iskander-M or S-400 missiles.

Kyiv City Military Administration reported that air defense systems were operating in Kyiv. Debris from enemy weapons fell in Darnytsia and Holosiivskyi districts (later the information about smoke was not confirmed).

"This morning the enemy tried to launch a missile attack on Kyiv. The scenario was similar to that of exactly one month ago, on November 11, when ballistic missiles were fired at the capital. Today, on December 11, at approximately 04:00, the rash*sts launched another missile attack, this time ballistic missiles," explained the head of the department, Serhiy Popko.

Yes, as a result of air defense, missile fragments fell in the Darnytsia district: windows were smashed in a residential building, a fire broke out in an unfinished building, and there was no fire or damage to the lawn and territory of a store and warehouse.

"Bortnychi neighborhood. Consequences of the night rocket attack. Rescuers, explosive experts, investigative teams are working," wrote Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Darnytsia District Administration, posting a photo of the aftermath of the attack.

Four adult residents of the Bortnychi area in the Darnytsia district of the capital were injured: a man born in 1992 sustained shrapnel wounds to his lower extremities (he was treated on the spot), and three women (born in 1963, 1990 and 1992) suffered acute stress reactions (they were treated on the spot).

The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces successfully repelled this Russian missile attack on Kyiv. All eight airborne targets flying along the ballistic trajectory were destroyed.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on December 8, for the first time in almost 80 days, Russia took off with Tu-95MS strategic bombers and launched cruise missiles. In total, the occupiers launched 19 missiles at Ukraine, of which 14 were shot down.
