Desert instead of houses: what one of the districts of occupied Mariupol looks like now. Video

Russians have levelled everything to the ground

Russian terrorists have turned the temporarily occupied Mariupol into ruins. The video shows what Lunin Avenue looks like after more than a year of Russian occupation in the city.

The video was published by the Mariupol City Council. "Desert instead of houses and a destroyed university: this is how one of the districts of occupied Mariupol looks like," the statement reads.

It is noted that a drive along Lunin Avenue in the Primorsky district demonstrates what the Russian invaders have turned a flourishing Ukrainian city into. There were three multi-storey buildings on the site, which Mariupol residents called "Strilka". Now, the Russians have levelled everything to the ground and fenced it off.

In addition, one of the buildings of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs is still damaged by Russian shelling. Instead of student life, it is now silence and decay.

"There is no trace of the lives of hundreds of Mariupol families..." - said the Mariupol City Council.

It should be added that Admiral Lunin Avenue is one of the central streets of Mariupol's Primorsky district, located near the seaport. It is the route connecting the port with the city centre, the railway station and residential areas.

As a reminder, the Russian occupiers have once again shown that they are very much afraid of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In anticipation of a counter-offensive by our fighters, Russian war criminals are building defensive structures and bypassing the territories in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, Donetsk region.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, occupied Mariupol is now filled with Russians and people from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Citizens are afraid to go out on the streets, afraid to make comments to newcomers. Racketeering and robbery are rampant in the city.
