Defense Forces destroy Buk-M3 and occupants' radar station in Luhansk region – General Staff

On the night of October 25, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system and a 9S36 radar station of the Russian invaders' Buk-M2 missile system in the occupied territory of Luhansk region. The targets were located several tens of kilometers from the front line.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Friday morning. The operation to strike at Russian weapons was carried out by units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces.

The strikes were carried out as part of the tasks of detecting and eliminating enemy air defense systems.

As a result, a Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system was destroyed and a 9S36 radar station for target illumination and missile guidance of the occupiers' Buk-M2 surface-to-air missile system was destroyed, the General Staff reports.

Both targets were located in the Russian-occupied territory of Luhansk region, several tens of kilometers from the front line.

"The work is ongoing. The weakening of Russian air defense makes other important enemy targets vulnerable to Ukrainian strikes both at the front and in the rear. To be continued... Glory to Ukraine!" the General Staff said.
