Defense forces are exhausting the enemy along the entire frontline and in the rear, with 122 combat engagements during the day - General Staff
Russian occupation forces continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders in an attempt to improve their tactical position. The Kurakhove direction is currently the hottest, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, "high intensity of hostilities remains in the Pokrovsk sector".
According to the General Staff's report as of 22.00 on September 12, 122 combat engagements have already been recorded in all areas of the frontline. Over the past day, the invaders struck Ukraine with one Iskander-M missile, 59 air strikes and dropped 81 guided bombs.
The occupiers also attacked with 751 kamikaze drones during the day. At the same time, the enemy fired at the positions of our troops and populated areas 3391 times.
In the Kharkiv sector, the occupants unsuccessfully attacked in the area of Vovchansk three times during the day.
The enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops in the Kupiansk sector eight times - in the areas of Synkivka, Kolisnykivka and Lozova. The battle is still ongoing near Stelmakhivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian invaders tried to advance in the areas of Nevske and Druzheliubivka 6 times. Ukrainian defenders are holding steadfast, inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
The enemy made 5 attacks in the northern sector, concentrating its main efforts in the area of Verkhniokamianske. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupants tried to break into our defense in the area of Chasiv Yar and Stupochky. The situation is under control of the Ukrainian military.
In the Toretsk sector, the aggressors attacked with the support of aviation near Toretsk, Nelipivka and in the vicinity of New York five times. Two more engagements are currently ongoing.
High intensity of hostilities remains in the Pokrovsk sector. The number of combat engagements increased to 32. The invaders continue to attack our positions near Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Zelene Pole, Novotroitske, Hrodivka, Novohrodivka, Selidove and Mykhailivka. Our defenders have repelled 28 attacks so far. Today the enemy made the main efforts in the area of Hrodivka and Novohrodivka, where about 50 percent of all clashes took place.
Preliminary losses of the aggressor here amounted to 377 occupants killed and wounded. Also, one tank, two armored combat vehicles, three artillery systems, and 10 vehicles were destroyed, while three more tanks and four artillery systems were damaged.
As of this time of day, 48 combat engagements of varying intensity have taken place in the Kurakhove sector. The occupants were most actively trying to advance in the vicinity of Kostiantynivka and Heorhiivka, where about 75 percent of all the fighting took place. In addition, the enemy attacked in the direction of Ukrainske, Oleksandropol and Zhelanne Pershe.
Preliminary enemy losses in this area amounted to 105 occupants killed and wounded. Two tanks, 11 armored combat vehicles and two cars were destroyed, another tank and 11 armored personnel carriers were damaged.
In the Vremivsk sector, the aggressor, supported by aviation, stormed the front line of our defense in the areas of Vodiane and Zolota Nyva five times. Ukrainian troops stopped three enemy assaults, two more battles are ongoing.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, six enemy attempts to take our troops' positions failed.
"We should also mention the soldiers of the 46th Airmobile Brigade and 35th Marine Infantry Brigade 35th Marine Infantry Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrogradskyi, who are bravely holding their positions, skillfully repelling enemy attacks and causing significant losses to the invaders," the General Staff noted.
As reported, another 1,270 Russian invaders were either killed or wounded in Ukraine yesterday. In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed more than a hundred pieces of Russian equipment and weapons, including 73 artillery systems.
