Ukrainian Armed Forces hit a Russian base in Kherson region

The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Russian base in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region thanks to coordinated cooperation between different units. The attack was carried out with the use of a JDAM bomb.

This moment was captured on camera. It was posted on the Telegram channel by journalist Yuriy Butusov.

According to the military, the invaders set up a base near the village of Tarasivka, Kherson district. It has been under occupation by Russian troops since the beginning of the invasion on February 24, 2022.

The video, shot by the Flying Skull aerial reconnaissance unit, shows that the Russians were stationed at a small airfield, where a hangar and small aircraft (possibly cropdusters) are visible.

Thanks to the fire adjustment carried out by the Flying Skull fighters with a reconnaissance drone, the enemy base was struck with the help of aircraft probably with a JDAM bomb, which is not very powerful but extremely accurate.

The footage shows the moment of the attack and the strong explosions that covered a large area. It is also noticeable how the invaders, who managed to escape from the Ukrainian army's fire, are fussing near the completely destroyed building.

The GPS-based Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) transforms simple free-fall bombs into all-weather, adjustable munitions. They are being delivered to Ukraine as part of military aid from the United States.
