"Budanov was with us at a key stage of the operation": commander of the "Stuhna" unit reveals details of the liberation of the Vovchansk aggregate plant

Kyrylo Budanov, the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, periodically participates in operations of the Ukrainian military intelligence. In particular, he was involved in the liberation of the Aggregate Plant in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, at a key stage of the operation.

For several days, Budanov personally led the mission on the ground. The commander of the "Stuhna" unit of the "Tymur" DIU special unit, alias "Linux," told about this, as well as previously unknown details of the return of the Aggregate Plant to Ukrainian control, during a telethon.

According to the intelligence officer, an important stage of the operation, the successful implementation of which made it possible to drive the enemy out of the Aggregate Plant, was the accumulation of forces for the assault. It had to be done so that the enemy did not suspect anything. This was not easy, given that the terrain from the plant is far visible in all directions.

"This is a classic operation for special forces. This is a complex multi-stage operation that involves large forces: unmanned systems, artillery, and personnel with experience in clearing such buildings. So it was a task for us, and we fulfilled it completely," emphasized "Linux."

The success of the operation would not have been possible without the establishment of clear coordination between the groups of Tymur's special forces involved in the assault: "Stuhna," "Parahon," "Yunher," RVC, BVC, and "Terror".

"Each of these groups had its own specifics of work, and in general, we managed to maintain this coordination. This is always important in any unit," the intelligence officer emphasized.

He also said that at one stage Budanov personally took part in the operation to liberate the Aggregate Plant in Vovchansk.

"It's no secret that Kyrylo Budanov is often directly involved in operations. In this particular operation, he was with us at a key moment, at a key stage. He was present for several days, directly leading the mission. Of course, this supports the soldiers and gives them motivation," emphasized "Linux."

As a reminder, the liberation of the aggregate plant in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, by Ukrainian soldiers became known on September 24. Soldiers of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine's "Stuhna," "Parahon," RVC, "Junger," BVC, and "Terror" special groups took part in the operation.

The DIU said that the special forces carried out a systematic clearing of the buildings, constantly engaging in contact with the enemy in dense buildings. After all 30 buildings on the plant's territory were cleared, it was handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The RVC disclosed some details of the operation to drive the Russians out of the plant. They admitted that the operation was "quite complicated."

The Defense Forces managed to surround the territory of the aggregate plant in June this year. Since then, the Russian occupiers have been blocked at the enterprise, and the Russian army units that tried to break through the encirclement suffered huge losses.
