British Intelligence: Russia has problems with supplying soldiers in Ukraine, they live in mud

Russian occupiers complain about poor conditions and supplies at the front

With the approach of winter in Ukraine, the Russian occupiers have a new "enemy" in addition to the soldiers of the Defense Forces: rain and cold weather. The invaders have been sitting in the mud in the trenches for weeks, wearing uniforms that do not have time to dry and cannot even warm themselves with a cup of tea.

At the same time, the occupiers complain about "monotonous food" and the fact that the occupation forces in general have huge problems with supplies. This is stated in a new report by the UK Ministry of Defense.

"Eyewitness accounts from Russian troops stationed in Ukraine indicate that with the approach of winter, the soldiers' age-old struggle against the elements remains a major concern for the Russian army," the statement said.

In particular, the Russian occupiers, who recently returned from Ukraine to the territory of the Russian Federation, spoke about this during a conference on military issues held as part of the Ogarkov Readings in Moscow on November 1.

The invaders said that while on the front line, they were "wet from head to toe" for weeks on end.

They were unable to dry their clothes or at least keep warm, because, as one of the occupiers noted, due to the threat of shelling by Ukrainian troops, they "cannot even boil a mug of tea."

Russian soldiers also complained that they were forced to sit in the mud and eat "monotonous food."

"Maintaining a decent level of personal comfort and reliable management in defensive positions is a challenge for any army. However, open-source data shows that the Russian army is very poor at adhering to the basic principles of field administration. This is probably partly due to a lack of motivated junior commanders, as well as logistical support, which is provided with varying degrees of success," the British Ministry of Defense suggested.

Earlier, British intelligence stated that the Russian offensive near Avdiivka encountered strong Ukrainian defense.

The British defense ministry once again noted that the trend that emerged at the very beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war is at work again. Under conditions of approximate parity in personnel, weapons, and equipment, the side holding the defense has the advantage in ground combat.

Currently, this trend is evident both in the south, where Ukraine's counteroffensive continues, and in the east, where the Russians are trying to surround Avdiivka, suffering significant losses. According to the British Ministry of Defense, the Russians have thousands of casualties and hundreds of destroyed vehicles during their offensive in the Avdiivka sector.
