During the Ukrainian Armed Forces ' operation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian defenders from Odesa captured three dozen occupants at once. All of them are being transported to Ukraine for future prisoner exchanges.

This was reported by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army "South" Serhiy Bratchuk. He did not name specifically who captured the group of Russians but showed a relevant operational video with "the work of Odesa fighters and company."

"Exclusive. Another batch of katsaps for the exchange fund. Odesa fighters and the company are working. Almost three dozen at once! Brothers in arms are the power!", said the spokesman.

He also said that the situation in the Kursk region has stretched Russian troops to some extent, which is why "the enemy is significantly stuck and slowed down" in its advance near the Karlivka reservoir in the Pokrovsk sector.

At the same time, Bratchuk added that the withdrawal of troops does not mean that Russia will withdraw its brigades from the areas where it is attacking. In particular, this applies to the Pokrovsk direction.

Bratchuk also described what is happening in the south after the breakthrough in the Kursk region. He confirmed the information that some Russian units are being withdrawn from the Kherson direction and redeployed to the Kursk direction, namely the 810th Separate Brigade of the Russian Marines, which operated on the Left Bank and fought in the Krynky area, where it received hellish answer from the Defense Forces and was withdrawn.

As previously reported, the Armed Forces continue to take Russian military prisoners for further exchange. This time, in the Kursk region, they hunted down the occupiers who took part in Kharkiv region offensive in 2022.

The Russian marines, who were previously captured by Ukrainian defenders in the Kursk region, have already appealed to the Russian authorities to include them in the exchange lists. The Russian military is asking to exchange them for fighters of the Azov regiment who were captured by Russia during the defense of Mariupol.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces are advancing further in the Kursk region despite Russian propagandists' claims that the Russian army is allegedly stabilizing the new front line.
