On the night of June 8, Russian troops launched another combined attack on Ukraine with the use of both missiles and drones. Some of the enemy Shahed drones were shot down by air defense forces over the Dnipro region.

The downed enemy UAV are painted black: the invaders are trying to make them less visible and make it harder to destroy the drones at night. Mykola Lukashuk, the head of the Dnipro Regional Council, provided details.

He published the wreckage of one of the Shahed drones shot down over the Dnipro region.

"This is one of the enemy's drones that flew to attack our cities at night. Imagine how difficult it is to visually detect a black drone at night. The Russians paint the drones black to complicate the work of our air defense forces, mobile fire groups," Lukashuk said.

He added that despite all the enemy's tricks, air defense forces continue to defend the Ukrainian sky and peaceful towns and villages.

"Our defenders are working to the max. Each destroyed Russian drone means dozens of lives saved. Each intercepted drone is proof that our soldiers are invincible. I thank them for their protection," Lukashuk emphasized.
