This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who visited Greece on August 21. In the evening he spoke at a joint press conference with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. "Today we have an important result for the air coalition: Greece will take part in the training of our pilots on F-16s," Zelensky said.

On his Telegram channel, the president wrote that he thanked Mitsotakis and his team for their willingness to help more with the defense of Ukraine's freedom. "We are grateful that there will be Greek defense support for Ukraine," the president said.

He also said he was honored to visit Greece "to give a new impetus to our relations, to make our cooperation even more useful for our peoples."
