A missile hit the police station in Kharkiv

On the evening of November 1, the Russian occupiers once again attacked Kharkiv with ballistic missiles. One law enforcement officer was killed in a missile strike on the city. Another 46 people were injured, including dozens of police officers, and an administrative building and nearby residential buildings were damaged.

According to the head of the National Police of Ukraine, Ivan Vyhivskyi, the Russians hit the center of Kharkiv with two S-300 missiles. Rescue and search operations at the site of the hit were completed by 9 a.m. on November 2.

"Kharkiv: rescue and recovery operations after nighttime missile strikes completed. The attack killed 1 person and injured 46 others. Rescuers of the Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk garrisons of the State Emergency Service, the 2nd Special Rapid Response Center, public utilities, and volunteer dog handlers are involved in the aftermath," the State Emergency Service said on Saturday morning.

A total of 200 cubic meters of construction waste was removed. SES psychologists provided assistance to 15 people.

We would like to remind you that the first missile destroyed a private house. As it turned out, the second missile – launched at 16:05 – hit the location of law enforcement officers.

Police colonel Andrii Matvienko was killed in the center of Kharkiv as a result of these strikes. Another 26 law enforcement officers were injured.

According to the head of KHOVA, Oleh Syniehubov, Colonel Andrii Matvienko was only 40 years old and "faithfully served the society and the state, ensuring law and order in the frontline region."

According to Syniehubov, among the 26 wounded police officers, some are in serious condition, and doctors are now fighting for their lives.

All relevant services arrived at the scene promptly. People are already being helped, and the police are collecting evidence of another crime by the occupiers.

Criminal proceedings have been opened over the violation of the laws and customs of war.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov clarified that among the injured civilians were three women and one man. All are in light and moderate condition, the mayor said.

As of 22:00, police in Kharkiv region reported an increase in the number of casualties as a result of a rocket attack on Kharkiv. According to the latest information, 30 police officers, one rescuer, and nine civilians were wounded.

20 residential and six non-residential buildings and 11 vehicles were damaged. Emergency and rescue operations are underway at the site of the impact.

There is also an investigative department headquarters where citizens can file reports of property damage.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, in the evening of October 30, the occupiers struck the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv with an air bomb and hit a high-rise building, where almost the entire entrance was destroyed. A 12-year-old boy was killed and 36 people were injured.

Later, a 15-year-old boy was found dead under the rubble. In total, three people died, including two children.
