President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the forward stabilisation point that receives wounded and injured Ukrainian servicemen from the Bakhmut direction. The visit took place as part of the President's trip to Donetsk region.

The Presidential Office announced this on its official website on 14 August. Zelenskyy posted a video filmed at the stabilisation point on his Facebook account (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).

The Presidential Administration noted that the guarantor had inspected the premises and equipment of the facility, talked to medical staff, as well as to the wounded defenders of the country.

The command of the stabilisation point told the president about their urgent needs, including armoured evacuation vehicles.

There, Zelenskyy awarded a wounded soldier of the 3rd separate assault brigade and two tactical medics of the 22nd separate mechanised brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"I am honoured to be here today. Thank you, guys, for your heroism. Thank you for protecting the lives of all our people. I am proud to shake hands and be here to personally reward you. Take care of yourselves. Thank you and I wish you the most important thing - victory," Zelensky said.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the unannounced visit of the president to Donetsk region became known on the evening of 14 August.

In Donbas, Zelenskyy met with soldiers of the 22nd separate mechanised, 5th separate assault, 80th separate airborne assault, 57th separate motorised infantry, 92nd separate mechanised, 26th artillery and 3rd separate assault brigades.
