"We repel up to fifty assaults a day, everything is covered with corpses": Ukrainian Armed Forces report on the situation near Avdiivka

Ukrainian Armed Forces report on the situation near Avdiivka

As of December 11, Russian occupation forces kept trying to get into the territory of the Avdiivka Coke Plant. The Ukrainian military continue to hold the line in this city in Donetsk region and prevent the enemy from doing so, inflicting significant losses on the invaders.

The bodies of the invaders killed during the storming attempts are left by their colleagues lying near the plant. This was reported by Oleksandr Shtupun, spokesman for the Tauride Defense Forces, on the air of Radio Donbas.Realii.

"The enemy is trying to approach the coke plant. So far, certain groups have managed to get to the fence, and they were simply smashed there, and there are a lot of corpses lying around," he said.

According to the spokesperson, the enemy is simultaneously trying to put pressure on the Defense Forces at both the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions.

"Yesterday, we can say it was a record for simultaneity - such a large number of simultaneous assault actions in all directions around Avdiivka, as well as in the area of Maryinka, Novomykhailivka and Pobeda. Near Avdiivka, almost fifty attacks were registered over the last day, and near Maryinka - 18 more. The enemy has sent a lot of equipment forward and is also acting with air support," noted Shtupun.

As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, according to British intelligence, the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted successful counterattacks near Avdiivka, depriving the occupiers of full control over Stepove.
