"We need to understand the opinion of the people": Zelenskyy speaks about the "German" or "Korean" model of ending the war in Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that when it comes to the territorial integrity of Ukraine, it is necessary to ask the opinion of the people first. The Head of State emphasized that Ukrainian society is the owner of its state and only it has the right to decide the fate of the country.

At the same time, Zelenskyy emphasized that changing the territorial integrity is a crime. The president said this in an interview with Bloomberg.

According to the president, changing the territories of Ukraine involves changing the Constitution, which, in turn, is a crime.

At the same time, Zelenskyy noted that when someone suggests that our country make territorial concessions to the aggressor, it is necessary to clearly understand who puts forward such ideas and why it is being done at all. The President also added that the people of Ukraine should have a say in this matter, first and foremost.

"Changes to our territories are changes to the Constitution and this is a crime. If we are offered the German model or the Korean model, we need to understand what is being offered to us, who is offering it to us, why it is being done, and then understand the opinion of all of us. Not only mine but first of all that of the society, because the people of Ukraine are the owners of Ukraine," the president said.

As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that China can play a "huge role" in ending the war unleashed by Russia, as Moscow depends on its export market. The United States and China, if they put aside their differences, could successfully work together in this direction.
