"We hope to see F-16s": the General Staff stated that they are already using MiG-29s received from Poland and Slovakia

Ukraine is already using MiG-29 fighters received from Poland and Slovakia. Nevertheless, the country's defenders hope to receive modern combat aircraft F-16s in the near future.
Olexiy Gromov, deputy head of the Main Operative Directorate of the General Staff of the AFU, told this at a briefing on June 15. "During June, MiG-29 fighters, received as part of international technical assistance from Poland and Slovakia, were put on the wing," he said.
He thanked the allies for their support of the AFU and expressed hope that the Ukrainian Air Force will receive F-16s.
"We sincerely thank our partners for their support and assistance and hope to see the legendary F-16 fighters in the Ukrainian sky as soon as possible," Gromov said.
